Chris is the Founder & CEO @ New School Foods, where they make whole-cut seafood & meat alternatives. Previously, he was the Founder & CEO of Unata, an eCommerce company that was acquired by Instacart in 2018. Chris then became very passionate about creating a kinder & more sustainable food system, and became an angel investor and startup coach focused on the alt-protein industry. But after 2 years of noticing a lack of deep innovation and R&D investments in the space, Chris shifted to investing in academic research projects that could lead to better meat alternatives. One of them led to a new food structuring technology, and Chris decided to build New School Foods around it. Chris is also a startup mentor and a proud member of the Founder’s Pledge.
