Allyson has assisted hundreds of social ventures to become economically sustainable and increase their social impact. She led Social Innovation Generation (SiG@MaRS) which created a culture of social innovation in Canada. She developed and now supports social impact programming at MaRS including our innovation consulting teams in social innovation and social finance. Currently Allyson is working to engage corporate Canada in solving our most complex challenges through creation of the Business for Purpose Network. She is on faculty at the University of Waterloo (Social Entrepreneurship & CSR) and SingularityU Canada (Impact). She was also the Thinker in Residence developing the “purpose economy” in Australia and a member of the federal Social Innovation and Social Finance Strategy Co-creation Steering Group.
